Pasco County, Florida Sheriff Department warned residents about the dangers of shooting at a hurricane after two fellas named Ryan Edwards and Zeke Murphy took to their Facebook page and started a campaign called “Shoot At Hurricane Irma.”
Edwards and Murphy wrote, “YO THIS GOOFY LOOKING HEADASS NAMED IRMA SAID THEY PULLING UP ON US, LETS SHOW IRMA WE SHOOT FIRST.”
The two then ended the sentence with three smiling faces.
The Pasco County Sheriff wasn’t smiling though. They know that some folks’ may not have common sense enough to know that shooting at a hurricane with 100 plus mile per hour winds is not the thing to do.
Evidence of this point are the 55,000 folks who showed interest in Edwards and Murphy’s campaign, which had instructions and photos and everything on how to shoot at a hurricane.
Now, to be fair, Florida is a stand your ground state. If you are feeling threaten, you can pull out your gun and start shooting at folks or things. Edwards, Murphy, plus the 55,000 folks interested in their campaign felt threaten by Hurricane Irma.
So, they decided they’d consider exercising their right to stand their ground and shoot at a hurricane that will lift them up off the ground.
And due to the poor sheriff being concern that some folks may actually go outside with their shotguns, AK-47s, forty-fives, pellet guns, and the gun great-great grand-pappy passed down, the sheriff had his social media crew to tweet out a warning: “To clarify, DO NOT shoot weapons @ #Irma. You won’t make it turn around and it will have very dangerous side effects,” Pasco County Sheriff tweeted.
That’s right. Trying to stand your ground against a hurricane will more than likely lead to you being placed six feet under the ground.

That’s right. Trying to stand your ground against a hurricane will more than likely lead to you being placed six feet under the ground.
